Follow the guide below for a smooth installation experience.
Before You Begin
Before installing your neon sign, make sure you have:
- The neon sign and all included accessories
- Power adapter and cables
- Mounting hardware provided with your order
- Appropriate tools for your wall or surface
- A suitable power socket nearby
- A clean and stable installation surface
Carefully unpack the sign and check for any visible damage before installation.
Step 1: Choose the Right Location
Select a suitable wall or surface where the sign can be clearly seen.
Consider:
- Available wall space
- Visibility and viewing angle
- Distance from the power socket
- Accessibility for switching the sign on and off
- Protection from water, heat and excessive moisture
- Strength and suitability of the mounting surface
For larger signs, make sure the wall or mounting structure can safely support the sign.
Step 2: Mark the Mounting Points
Position the sign where you want it to be displayed.
Depending on the mounting style, mark the required points on the wall before drilling or fixing anything. Use a level to ensure the sign is properly aligned.
Tip: Hold or temporarily position the sign first to confirm its placement before making permanent holes.
Step 3: Secure the Sign
Install the provided mounting hardware according to the type of sign and wall surface.
For acrylic-backed neon signs, use the supplied mounting points or standoffs where applicable. Make sure all mounting points are securely fixed and the sign is stable before connecting the power.
Do not force, bend or modify the neon tubing during installation.
Step 4: Connect the Power
Once the sign is securely mounted:
- Connect the neon sign cable to the supplied power adapter.
- Check that the connection is secure.
- Connect the adapter to a suitable power outlet.
- Switch on the sign and check the illumination.
Keep electrical connections dry and away from water.
Step 5: Check the Installation
After powering the sign, check that:
- The sign is securely mounted
- All sections are illuminated correctly
- Cables are safely positioned
- The power adapter is properly connected
- There are no loose or exposed connections
- The sign is stable and correctly aligned
